The Foreign Residents department invites you to the XV International Meeting and Family Day.
According to the councillor for this department, Laura López, this long-awaited event will take place on 13 and 14 May.
The initiative has the collaboration of Adana, Be Yourself and Agya (Asociación de Gatos y Amigos).
This time, 24 countries will come together at this traditional and inclusive meeting, which will be held in El Castillo de la Duquesa.
This year, as something new, on Friday 12 May at 18:00 there will be a parade with batucada drumming and a procession of flags of the nationalities taking part in this edition, setting off from the Cali square in Sabinillas and ending at the Puerto de la Duquesa.
Throughout the weekend, attendees will be able to enjoy, as usual, the food, music and culture of all the countries.
There will also be a market run by the Asociación Ambulante de Artesanos Campo de Gibraltar, and the stage set up for the occasion will host a number of performances, among them the groups “La Mala Hora” (Saturday) and “Kassia Rock Band” (Sunday).
And in the Parque del Huerto, the little ones will be able to enjoy children’s entertainment, inflatable attractions and a stage for activities aimed at children, including the musical “La lámpara maravillosa”, a tribute to Aladdin, on Saturday 13 May at 16:00.
