A worker died this afternoon after being run over by a lorry while working at the quarry in Manilva, according to the Emergencias 112 Andalucía service, which is attached to the Regional Ministry of the Presidency, Public Administration and Interior of the Junta.
The accident occurred at 14:10 inside a quarry on the A-377, when a lorry ran over a worker inside the quarry.
The coordination centre alerted the Guardia Civil and the Junta’s health services. The emergency teams could do nothing more than certify the employee’s death. The Centre for Occupational Risk Prevention and the Labour Inspectorate have been notified.
