The Infrastructure and Works department has completed improvement work at the Colegio Pablo Picaso de Manilva.

The work consisted of repairing the wall of the school playground, finished off with the installation of Hércules fencing and protective netting.

The coordination of the Works and Education departments, headed by Diego José Jiménez and Daniel Muñoz respectively, was essential in carrying out this work.

Both officials, together with the municipal technicians, visited the school to see the finished work.

The headteacher of the school, Ernesto Romero, expressed his gratitude for these measures, which provide greater safety for the pupils.

The wall was in a state of deterioration that also posed a risk of material falling into the adjoining streets, which is why the work was necessary.

The head of the department, Diego José Jiménez, said he was pleased with the continuous improvements being made to the various educational facilities in our municipality.

For his part, Daniel Muñoz highlighted the good coordination between the municipal departments involved, as well as the good relationship with the schools.

This work, part of what are known as minor works, was carried out by a local company and cost around 19,000 €.
