Councillor Diego José Jiménez stresses that this is much-needed work, given the age of the pool, and that the technicians in the department he leads have had to resolve various problems that have arisen during this renovation process.

It can already be seen that the machine room is finished, and work is currently under way on waterproofing the pool basin, which has a new built-in staircase that will provide comfortable access for users.

Another of the issues resolved has to do with adapting the pool to current regulations on health and safety.

As Jiménez explained, the work is well advanced and is expected to be finished by mid or late June, so that residents can enjoy completely renovated facilities that comply with current regulations.
