The councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works, Diego José Jiménez, Mayor Mario Jiménez and the Sports councillor, Manolo Gil, visited the Manilva football ground this morning, along with the adjoining path that links it to the parque de la Horca.

The municipal officials checked the work to install new wiring for the street lamps that light the path, which had been left in darkness following acts of vandalism committed by uncivic individuals and which harm the common good.

Measures have been taken to prevent such incidents from happening again, and it was stressed that, as of today, this pine-lined path is in perfect condition for the enjoyment of the many people who use it daily and for the athletes who also pass along it.

Diego José Jiménez wished to highlight the work carried out by the municipal workers in his department, in this case the electricians, who do quiet work that is rarely publicised, but who deserve public thanks for their commitment to making the municipality look its best.

This is not the first time work has been carried out on an area that has become almost an essential walk for many people who live in Manilva village.
