Today, on different shifts, the four new Local Police officers who join the force’s staff have begun their work placements, having completed the process at the academy.
Until 17 July, the local officers will be in their placement period, and they will begin full duties at the beginning of August.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, welcomed the four officers and wished them luck in this new stage, stressing the key role they will play alongside their colleagues, as «security is a top priority for us», he said.
During this period of more than four months, the officers on placement will be able to get a feel for the street and learn the day-to-day duties and procedures of the Local Police, whose main aim is to look after the interests of residents.
