Around fifty teachers from the various schools in the town were off sick today after the «normal» side effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine they received yesterday, which cause fever and a general feeling of being unwell. The aim is to have all teaching staff vaccinated between yesterday and today.
This morning, the schools informed families that today would be out of the ordinary, with fewer teachers available. The Pablo Picassso school in Manilva even said that with the staff available «it is impossible to look after the pupils in the classrooms», and that they would therefore have to spend almost all of the time in the playground.
All the schools mentioned the added difficulty of not being able to combine classes, as they have to respect the bubble groups and maintain the protocols, since pupils’ safety must be protected.
