The Andalusian Regional Government’s Department of Education and Sport has sent a letter to the mayor’s office regarding the approved plan to meet the needs of Manilva’s education community and to build a new secondary school.

It should be remembered that the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, the councillor for Urban Planning, Marcos Ruiz, and the councillor for Education, Daniel Muñoz, visited the possible sites for the building work together with the Regional Education Delegate of the Andalusian Regional Government, Mercedes García Paine.

In this new step towards the new school, the Department of Education and the Town Hall will finalise the plot, which must meet a series of requirements set by the Department itself and on which the municipal technicians will start work immediately.

This is excellent news for the education community, as it means relieving congestion at the current «Las Viñas» secondary school, as well as extending the courses on offer to include Vocational Training.

This is a determined piece of work by the Governing Team, whose investment in the municipality’s schools is proving very significant and will culminate in this major project, which will become a reality.
