The PSOE in Málaga has announced its list for the Andalusian Parliament ahead of the regional elections on 17 May, headed by Josele Aguilar, Ana Villarejo and Dani Pérez, and combining candidates with institutional experience and municipal representation.
The list includes Marta Benítez Oliva, president of the PSOE in Manilva, who will be number 12 on the provincial list, thereby consolidating the municipality’s presence in the Socialist project at Andalusian level.
The local branch has welcomed her selection very positively, stressing that it is a recognition of the work carried out in recent months. According to the PSOE in Manilva, Benítez has become «a fundamental pillar of the new political project» led by the local secretary general, Francisco Becerra, at a time marked by internal reorganisation and the drive for a new political strategy in the municipality.
The candidate from Manilva represents, according to her party, «commitment, approachability and constant hard work», qualities that have helped to strengthen the local structure and project a renewed image of the branch. Her inclusion on the list also has a territorial component, as she is one of the figures who will represent the Costa del Sol area within the Socialist list.
The list is headed by José Aurelio Aguilar, followed by Ana Villarejo and Daniel Pérez, and includes in the top positions candidates with long track records such as Patricia Alba and José Luis Ruiz Espejo. Overall, the PSOE stresses that it is a «balanced and representative» list, with people from different municipalities in the province and gender parity.
According to Socialist sources, Marta Benítez’s presence on the list offers an opportunity to bring to the Andalusian Parliament the needs of Manilva, including areas such as Sabinillas and El Castillo, as well as the various residential developments across the municipality.
Meanwhile, Benítez herself has begun taking part in political events linked to the regional campaign. She recently attended an event on housing alongside the candidate for the presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, María Jesús Montero, as well as the head of the list for Málaga, José Aurelio Aguilar, and other party officials.
The PSOE in Manilva has also announced that it will work actively in the election campaign in the municipality with the aim of strengthening support for the provincial list in a vote that is shaping up to be key for Andalusia’s political future.
