Everything is ready for the municipal swimming pool to open to the public tomorrow, Friday 2 July.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, the councillor for Infrastructure and Works, Diego José Jiménez, and the Sports councillor, Manolo Gil, visited the facility to check that everything is in order.
This work was much needed, given the age of the pool, and municipal technicians have had to resolve various problems that arose during the renovation process.
The work includes a new plant room and waterproofing of the pool basin, which has a new built-in staircase offering users comfortable access.
Another of the issues resolved relates to bringing the pool into line with current regulations on health and safety.
Part of the complex will be undergoing lawn restoration and treatment following the works.
Public opening hours, bearing in mind that on weekday mornings the pool will be used for the department’s sports activities, will be:
Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 20:00
Friday from 13:00 to 20:00
Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 20:00.
In addition to the lifeguard, there will be a person to control access and capacity to ensure the facility is well organised.
