A few days ago we reported that the Andalusian Basketball Federation had once again placed its trust in the career and knowledge of Javier Montañez, appointing him head coach of the under-14 team at the upcoming Spanish Championship, which will be held in Huelva from 31 August to 5 September.
Today we can report that Montañez, of CD Manilva Basketbase, a true institution of basketball in our town, will also coach the Spanish U14 Men’s national team at the training camp in Íscar, Valladolid, which will take place from 11 to 15 August.
Two Unicaja Andalucía players, Manuel Trujillo and Ruben Salazar, have also been called up.
The young under-14 talents will work together to assess the generations that will compete internationally in the medium term.
