This morning the first edition of the Espetero Course was presented. It will run from 20 May to 19 June.
The mayor, Mario Jiménez, the Training and Employment Promotion councillor, Marcos Ruiz, the director of the Escuela de Hostelería Costa del Sol and the best espetero of 2020, José Antonio Moreno, appeared at the press conference.
This blended course will cover the history of the espeto, workplace safety and hygiene, environmental protection, stages of service, professional ethics, customer service and protocol, gastronomic applications, people in the kitchen, garnishes and espeto pairing.
The municipal representatives highlighted the importance of gastronomy in our town and specifically the espeto, one of the delicacies offered in local hospitality venues.
In addition, this course will help to widen job opportunities.
