The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, has received the local parish priest, José Antonio Melgar, and residents of the municipality, whose initiative has been to set up Cáritas Manilva.
Its board and Melgar himself, as president, spoke with the mayor and explained their main aim, which is to help society through values so that there is equality, respect and opportunities to lead a dignified life.
According to the mayor, «as this association proclaims, promoting the integral development of individuals and communities, especially the poorest and most excluded, is a necessary task for our society, and I wish them all the luck they need, with the support of the Town Hall, of course», he concluded.
