Marinas de Andalucía continues its ‘Yoga en el Puerto’ project with a day of wellbeing and inclusion at Puerto de La Duquesa.
The activity will take place this Sunday 18 October and forms part of an initiative that seeks to promote healthy habits, encourage inclusion and bring marinas closer to the public.

The Association of Sports and Tourist Marinas of Andalusia, Marinas de Andalucía, is continuing its project Yoga en el Puerto: Bienestar y Comunidad with a new SUP Yoga session to be held this Sunday 18 October at the Puerto Deportivo de La Duquesa marina in Manilva. The programme will include two sessions, one open to the public and one inclusive session, with the participation of the Asociación Luisana de Manilva.

The day will begin at 10:00 with a SUP Yoga session, a discipline that combines the practice of yoga with paddle surfing on boards on the water, followed by brunch at Bar Dolphin. The activity costs 50 euros per person and places are limited. Bookings can be made by telephone on 609863117 or by email at laurayoga.sg@gmail.com.

A second, inclusive session will take place at 11:30 with the participation of the Asociación Luisana de Manilva, a local organisation that works with people with disabilities, older people and in the field of child development. The activity will be adapted to the abilities of the participants to make it easier for them to take part in this experience on the water.

Both sessions will be led by Laura Cortés, an instructor specialising in inclusive yoga, and are being held with the collaboration of the Puerto Deportivo de La Duquesa, Puerto Sotogrande and Fundación Navega.

The Yoga en el Puerto project: Bienestar y Comunidad forms part of the corporate social responsibility actions of Marinas de Andalucía and began last year at Puerto Sotogrande, where Inclusive SUP Yoga sessions have already been held. Following this first experience, the initiative now comes to La Duquesa with the aim that other member marinas will join and be able to organise similar activities at their facilities.

Manuel Raigón, president of Marinas de Andalucía, has highlighted the importance of hosting this type of event. yoga, he said.

With this project, Marinas de Andalucía wants to encourage collaboration between its member marinas and the social organisations of each town, introducing activities that allow people to enjoy the port facilities from a sporting, healthy and inclusive perspective.
