-

The heart of El Castillo de la Duquesa will once again become a multicultural meeting point this weekend with the XVIII International Meeting and the Family Day, an event organised by the Foreign Residents and Tourism department of Manilva Town Hall.

The councillor responsible for the area, Agustín Vargas, has announced that the event will take place on 23 and 24 May, offering a wide programme of activities for all audiences, with representation from numerous countries and cultures.

Over both days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy international stands with traditional food, crafts and cultural displays, as well as musical performances, traditional dances, parades of flags and activities aimed especially at families and young children.

The site will remain open from 13:00 to 21:00 with bouncy castles, children’s entertainment and a crafts market organised by the Asociación Ambulantes de Artesanos Campo de Gibraltar “San José”. In addition, the Asociación Be Yourself will set up a charity bar, with the proceeds going to Manilva Pride.

The programme will feature artists and groups from different parts of the world, including Colombia, Italy, Bolivia, Ireland, Ukraine, Peru, Argentina, Romania, Mexico, Paraguay, Ecuador and Morocco, reinforcing the international character of one of the most established events in the local calendar.
