The Infrastructure and Works councillor, Diego José Jiménez, accompanied by councillor Francisco Becerra, the area director, Mari Ángeles Ramos, and the municipal architect, visited the works under way on the seafront promenade in Sabinillas to check on their progress.
Jiménez reiterated the technical and political need to «be on site and keep a thorough track of every detail as it develops and resolve any problems should they arise. Although we are only a few days into the works, at this pace the established deadlines would be met«.
The project has been divided into three phases and involves the repair and renewal of infrastructure and paving along a stretch of around 600 metres of the promenade.
The most important project of the term arises from the need identified by Manilva Town Hall to improve the promenade, which is more than 20 years old.
The councillor also wished to stress once again that «our traders, business owners and residents in general deserve a modern, up-to-date seafront promenade with improved infrastructure, so we ask for a little patience and understanding during the months the works last, because we are the first to want them finished as soon as possible».
