The Infrastructure and Works department of Manilva Town Hall is carrying out work on one of the busiest roads in the Sabinillas area.
Specifically, work is under way on Avenida Mirafores, which connects with Calle Isaac Peral and Calle Duquesa de Arcos, near the Colegio San Luis school.
The councillor responsible for this area, Diego José Jiménez, visited the site to check on the progress of the work, together with councillor Francisco Becerra and the area director, Mari Ángeles Ramos.
At present the work is focused on the stormwater infrastructure, which will be significantly improved, as its drainage capacity will be tripled, notably reducing the risk of flooding in the area.
The work is being carried out by the company Torrumoti SL and has a completion period of four months.
Once this phase is finished, Avenida Miraflores will undergo a complete overhaul, with a new road surface and pavements, while keeping the existing trees and parking spaces in the area.
Jiménez apologised for the inconvenience this work may cause on this busy road, which will be completely renovated in appearance over the coming months.
