The road linking the area where the La Duquesa hotel is located with Los Hidalgos is used by dozens of residents every day. For this reason, the Infrastructure and Works department has decided to refurbish and improve it so that it is in perfect condition.
Because of the abundant vegetation surrounding it, this walkway has been somewhat difficult to maintain, but the work now under way will not only clean it up but also add lighting to make it safer.
According to the councillor responsible for the department: «as well as giving our residents the chance to walk along a safe and comfortable route, we are extending the connection with the Castillo area, so the seafront promenade, the beaches and the hospitality businesses will be even closer».
It is also worth noting that people who live in Los Hidalgos and the surrounding area use the footbridge that crosses the N-340, which makes this route even more important.
