The unemployment data for the month of April have been published. For the third consecutive month the number of unemployed people in Manilva has fallen, with 55 fewer people, bringing the total to 1230, of whom 727 are women and 503 are men.
For the moment, the works on the Sabinillas promenade, which have almost brought to a standstill one of the sectors that generates the most employment in the municipality, hospitality, do not appear to be having an excessive effect on these figures, which had been awaited with some apprehension and which will in all likelihood improve further once businesses are able to reopen with some degree of normality.
