The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the Beaches councillor, Eva Galindo, have toured the municipality to assess the damage caused by Storm Filomena.

Although weather forecasts maintain the alert, the Town Hall wants to be proactive and begin assessing the damage caused by the heavy rain and wind that has battered our municipality.

In this case we are talking about the coastline, where the build-up of reeds swept down by the river and streams has left a peculiar scene on the beaches.

From here, once all the damage has been quantified, a report will be sent to the Demarcación de Costas de Málaga (Málaga Coastal Authority) so that it can act accordingly.

As usual, the aforementioned supramunicipal body will send an extraordinary cleaning service to leave the beaches in perfect condition.
