The Regional Ministry of Health and Families will carry out a mass screening in Manilva on Monday 21 June, once the Directorate-General for Public Health and Pharmaceutical Regulation deemed it appropriate.

The mayor, Mario Jiménez, announced this yesterday, stressing the precautions we must take in our daily lives. He also referred to the good pace of vaccination in our town and the Town Hall’s insistence on looking after the health of residents.

The tests will be carried out on the seafront promenade, in the Noria area of Sabinillas, from 11:00 to 14:00, in one of the mobile units available for these screenings. Antigen tests will be used, which are considered equivalent to PCR tests in diagnostic capacity and give a result in about 15 minutes. 450 local residents will be called.

As usual, the participants in the screening have been selected by random sampling and are being called automatically through a dedicated appointment system by SMS, informing them that they have been selected for the screening, which is voluntary, and stating the day and time at which they should attend.

Manilva Town Hall continues to stress individual responsibility and compliance with the measures as an undeniable contribution to getting out of this situation.
