In the latest Management Board meeting held at Manilva Town Hall, the implementation project aimed at improving electricity supply infrastructure was approved.
Thanks to the continuous and tireless meetings between the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, and the Infrastructure and Works councillor, Diego José Jiménez, with Endesa officials on the Costa del Sol, the company’s lines that cause power cuts will be placed underground.
With an investment of €30,000, the first operation will be carried out on the pylon located next to the Monteviñas housing development in the Manilva town centre, which will require camino del Panderón alto to be closed and other access routes to be used. The closure will take effect from tomorrow, Friday, and will last for around ten days.
It should be remembered that Endesa undertook to carry out an investment plan in the municipality in order to improve the quality of supply across the municipal area.
This work follows that carried out earlier this year, with 700 metres of overhead Low Voltage cabling placed underground in the Río Manilva area, and a further 1,100 metres of Medium Voltage cabling on the Sabinillas Line.
The construction of a new 66 to 22 kilovolt transformer substation will benefit more than 42,000 customers and will strengthen the supply to the whole of Manilva.
The Town Hall asks for the public’s apologies for any inconvenience the works may cause.
