The works on the Sabinillas seafront promenade were among the sites visited this morning by municipal officials, to make clear that work continues at this location.
The first section is already at the asphalting stage, which will go ahead once the necessary materials arrive.
Apart from this setback, the contractor continues working and installing infrastructure in the following sections.
Diego José Jiménez also referred to the statements made by the spokesperson for the opposition group Izquierda Unida, whom he asked not to lie and to be sensible, as the deadlines for the works are fixed.
As for the start of the works, Jiménez once again explained that it took place on this date so as not to lose €1,215,000, something that required great effort from the governing team, which had to obtain all the permits and award the contract before the end of 2021.
For his part, the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, speaking this morning to the local media, and as he had also announced on the Televisión Manilva programme “El Ayuntamiento Responde”, said that the governing team is currently studying various measures, involving the Commerce department and the Mayor’s Office, to help the businesses affected by the works on the Sabinillas seafront promenade, and that, as the mayor said, they will be announced very soon.
The mayor reiterated that Manilva Town Hall will help as much as possible, as it has done in recent years, in order to support a sector that has been badly hit in recent times.
