From 25 to 29 August the festivities of San Luis, patron saint of Sabinillas, will take place, as the Festivals councillor, Daniel Muñoz, has recalled.

This Wednesday is the day on which the Hermandad Virgen del Carmen y San Luis de Sabinillas will hold the religious services together with the municipal Culture department, headed by Alba Jiménez. On that day, the image of the patron saint will be on display from 17:00 at the Parroquia de Sabinillas, so that all of the faithful can come and pay their respects, and at 20:30 Holy Mass will be held in Plaza San Luis.

Tonight the activities organised by the Festivals department will get under way with a performance by the group Bordón 4 from 22:30. It should be noted that the venue for this concert has changed in order to increase capacity. It will therefore take place in the courtyard of the Sabinillas primary school. Anyone wishing to attend should know that tickets are free and can still be reserved from the aforementioned department during office hours, by calling 619 725 509 or by going to the department itself, located in the Town Hall.

On Thursday 26 August from 17:00 in the Noria area there will be a water party for the little ones. At 22:30 in Plaza Vicente Espinel the teachers of the Escuela Municipal de Música de Manilva will perform. Those wishing to attend should know that capacity will be limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Then on Friday 27 August the group Duende Callejero will take to the stage at the Sabinillas infant school at 22:30.

On Saturday 28 August the Escuela Municipal de Danza will perform in Plaza Vicente Espinel at 22:30, and on the 29th the activities will conclude with a performance by El Bomba, in the courtyard of the Sabinillas infant school at the same time.
Tickets for these concerts are also free and can be reserved during office hours, by calling 619 725 509 or by going to the department itself at the Town Hall.

During these days you will have the chance to visit the Mercado Marinero (seafaring market), which will be set up on the La Colonia promenade, where you will find crafts, accessories, food or a children’s corner. There will also be rides for the little ones, which they can enjoy at a symbolic price.
