Hard blow for several hospitality businesses on the Paseo marítimo in Sabinillas. Between 03:30 and 04:30 in the night, several robberies took place at different establishments. If the situation was already delicate, especially for the hospitality sector, these events are dampening the spirits of all local traders, who see crime running rife at hours when nobody is allowed out on the streets because of the curfew.

Although the value of what was stolen was not high, as one of the affected owners told this newsroom, the damage caused is significant and means an extra expense at a time of such low sales that they barely cover day-to-day costs. The greatest damage is moral: how unscrupulous individuals are capable of doing so much harm to humble, hard-working people who are trying to keep a business afloat.

The curfew imposed by the state is leading to this type of robbery, given the lack of people on the streets and the difficulty of catching the culprits «red-handed». Thefts of public lighting cables in various housing developments are also on the rise, with the copper being sold on, leaving many areas of the municipality without lighting.
