Registration remains open for the traditional Corruco Race, which celebrates its tenth anniversary on 20 August along part of the coastline of our municipality.
Anyone interested in taking part can still register on the website www.dorsalchip.es. Participants will also receive a commemorative technical T-shirt.
Under the slogan «Hazte donante» (Become a donor), the event is organised by the Sports department and has the support of Obra Social Unicaja, the Club Ciclista de Manilva and the Club Senderista los Kruos.
From Tuesday 16 August to Friday 19 August, race numbers can be collected from the Sports department, in Plaza Martín Carpena in Manilva, from 10:00 to 14:00. They can also be collected on the day of the race at the stand at the starting point, from 17:00 until 1 hour before the start.
Starting from calle Duquesa de Arcos, there will be several routes with distances adapted to the ages of the participants, beginning at 19:00. The main 6-kilometre route will take place at 20:00.
The organisers have also announced that children under 8 can take part by registering in the Sub8 category.
Sports councillor Manolo Gil encourages all residents and visitors to join in this sporting event.
