Manilva Town Hall has approved, by Mayoral Resolution no. 2025-1690 of 8 September 2025, and published today, 24 October, in the BOP (Official Provincial Gazette), the terms for filling three Local Police posts in the municipal workforce. The call is being made through the open competitive examination system, as permanent civil servants, and forms part of the 2024 Public Employment Offer.
The posts belong to the Special Administration Scale, Special Services sub-scale, group C1, in accordance with Law 6/2023 on Local Police Forces of Andalusia.
Main requirements
Applicants must hold Spanish nationality, be aged between 18 and the compulsory retirement age, be at least 1.65 metres tall for men and 1.60 for women, and hold the Bachiller or Técnico qualification. Applicants must also hold A2 and B driving licences, and undertake to carry weapons and drive police vehicles.
Candidates must also pay an exam fee of 30 euros, reduced by 50% for members of large families. Applications may be submitted within 20 working days of the announcement’s publication in the Boletín Oficial del Estado (BOE, the Official State Gazette), preferably through the municipal electronic office https://manilva.sedelectronica.es
Stages of the selection process
The selection process will consist of an examination phase and an entry course.
The first will include theoretical and practical tests, physical and psychotechnical tests, and a medical examination. Only applicants who pass all stages will be admitted to the training course at the Instituto de Emergencias y Seguridad Pública de Andalucía or at an accredited partner or municipal school.
After passing the course, candidates will be appointed permanent civil servants and must remain at the Town Hall for at least five years before being able to request a transfer, unless they repay the training costs.
More information
The full text of the terms, as well as the annexes on the physical tests, the table of medical exclusions and the syllabus, are available on the Town Hall’s electronic office.
Clarification
According to the official terms of the call issued by Manilva Town Hall, section 3, Requirements of applicants, states the following: “Hold A2 and B class driving licences.”
The text also adds that “these requirements must be met before the last day for submitting applications ends”, except for the height requirement, which is checked later at the medical examination. Therefore, the A2 motorcycle licence (together with the B car licence) must be held before the application deadline ends.
You cannot apply intending to obtain it later or during the selection process; if you do not hold it when you register, you would be excluded from the procedure.
