Full agreement between union representatives and the governing team to launch the most important personnel document in the history of Manilva Town Hall. It involves putting out to public competition an offer of 80 civil servant posts and 174 permanent employee posts.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, and the Human Resources councillor, Diego José Jiménez, met this morning with the three union branches represented in the town’s council, CSIF, UGT and CC.OO, to agree the aforementioned job offer, which aims to stabilise posts that are currently filled on a temporary basis. According to the mayor, this document is the result of the good understanding with the unions and will also be very productive in offering a better service to residents.
This agreement, which falls under Law 20/2021 of 28 December on urgent measures to reduce temporary employment in the public sector, aims to bring the rate below 8 per cent. For this reason, this one-off, exceptional stabilisation process, in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Act, provides for the possibility of calling, through the competition system, those posts that meet the requirements set out in article 2.1 and had been continuously occupied on a temporary basis before 1 January 2016, as is the case at Manilva Town Hall.
In the coming days the full job offer will be officially published and, according to the deadlines, its bases must be published before the end of 2022.
A process that will stabilise the workforce, hence the importance of this first agreement.
As both municipal representatives explained, this is a unique opportunity, which is why they have made every effort to achieve a historic milestone, a political commitment that benefits both the Town Hall’s employees and the Town Hall itself in complying with current personnel regulations.
