Yesterday, the poster for this year’s Manilva Holy Week 2023 was presented at the Iglesia de Santa Ana.

As reported by the Cofradía de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores y Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, this year’s artwork has been designed by local resident Francisco Jesús Román Urieta, who drew inspiration from the figure of the Nazarene to create it.

As well as numerous worshippers and representatives of the Cofradía, members of the municipal corporation attended the presentation of the poster.

The various liturgical activities now follow, such as the Quinario to the Nazarene, which begins on 20 March, the Septenario to Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, which will start on 25 March, and the proclamation (pregón) by Ezequiel Castillo, which is scheduled for 31 March.

At the end of the event, Concepción Benítez, who until now had been the Cofradía’s hermana mayor (head of the brotherhood), announced that she was stepping down from her post. As a result, Agustín Ferrer will now become its hermano mayor.
