On Sunday 18 January, at 12:30, the presentation of the Local Secretariat of “Por Mi Pueblo Manilva” will take place at Bar Rojas in Manilva, opposite the Town Hall. It is a new political party that will stand in the next municipal elections with a firm commitment to the honest and responsible management of public resources.
Representatives of “Por Mi Pueblo” say their project was born with a clear idea: to run the municipality with honesty, common sense and a great willingness to work, always with a vocation for public service. The main aim is for the wealth generated by Manilva, Sabinillas, El Castillo and each and every one of the housing developments that contribute with their taxes to go directly back to residents and to bring real improvement to the municipality.
During the event, the main lines of action and the intentions of the people who make up this project will be set out. It is a group made up of residents of different origins and backgrounds, who are concerned about the current situation in the municipality and who are aware of both its problems and its opportunities. They are people willing to get actively involved in public life in order to work for their town through closeness, commitment and responsibility.
The party also stresses its responsibility to draw up a coherent, realistic programme with credible proposals aimed at the economic and social revitalisation of the municipality, placing particular emphasis on launching new projects as one of the key pillars of its political action.
“Our intention is to do hard, honest work for our town, sharing with our neighbours the joys and the sorrows, the successes and the failures, and always working for the wellbeing of the majority, which is what matters most”, say the organisers.
It is worth noting that a good number of the people involved in “Por Mi Pueblo Manilva” will be having their first contact with politics, coming to this project with enthusiasm, new ideas and a strong motivation to improve the future of the municipality.
The event will include the participation of representatives of the party at national, provincial and local level, and is open to all residents who wish to find out first-hand about this new political project.
