The pedestrian path running from the Lidl shopping area towards the Manilva river is being upgraded as it had fallen into a state of disrepair.
This route linking Manilva and the Casares coast is widely used by local residents and needed repairs. For this reason, the Infrastructure and Public Works department, headed by Diego José Jiménez, has already started work, which will be completed in a few days.
The work involves concreting the whole stretch alongside the motorway as far as the Río Manilva bridge, as well as part of the pavement at the other end.
The path measures around 135 linear metres and, once finished, will offer much more comfortable and safer passage for people who use this pedestrian route.
As is usual in the department headed by Jiménez, this minor work, as it is known, is being carried out by a local company awarded the contract through a tender.
