The Board of Directors of the Ronda and Málaga Wine Route met today in Manilva to discuss mainly issues relating to the management and promotion of the Route.
The meeting was attended by Mario Jiménez, mayor of Manilva, and Eugenio Sevillano, mayor of Mollina, as well as Jesús Vázquez García, First Deputy Mayor of Ronda Town Hall, Angel Martínez Delgado, representative of Turismo de Ronda, José María Losantos, president of the CRDO Málaga, Sierras de Málaga y Pasas de Málaga, and the Executive Committee of the route.
The wineries Nilva Enoturismo and Bodegas Manilva, already registered with the CRDO Málaga, Sierras de Málaga y Pasas de Málaga, have asked the Board of Directors to be admitted to the RVRM. These wineries would join the 13 wineries currently associated with the RVRM in the municipalities of Ronda, Arriate, Gaucín, Júzcar and Moclinejo.
In the coming months, the new RVRM website, with content adapted to its new territorial reality, will be presented, along with the Route’s Framework Plan, which will be a vehicle for raising awareness, training and attracting potential members committed to wine tourism in the province of Málaga.
Among the projects to be developed in the future are the installation of new directional signage and location signs for the resources associated with the RVRM, and the signing of a collaboration agreement with the UMA Faculty of Tourism for the development of final degree projects (TFG) and master’s dissertations (TFM) on studies of interest concerning the RVRM.
