Manilva Town Hall, through the Beaches department, continues to make a huge effort to have everything ready for Holy Week, when a large number of tourists are expected to arrive in our town.

As well as the seafront, attention is also being paid to aspects such as the leisure parks in these areas. Today we tell you about the park created between La Colonia and Puerto de la Duquesa, which was visited this morning by the beaches councillor, Eva Galindo, Parks and Gardens councillor Francisco Becerra, and Diego José Jiménez, who is responsible for Infrastructure and Works.

Becerra said that the facility is already up and running and that work is also under way on other leisure areas along the coast to keep them in perfect condition. The park at La Peñuela and the Duque park are also continuing to be improved. So far the department has been working with the rolled-over 2021 budget, and this area will be allocated €100,000 in the 2022 budget.

For her part, Eva Galindo described this leisure area as important for residents and tourists. The councillor also referred to the reinforcement put in place by the department she heads so that the beaches are in good condition as soon as possible. She said that 4 lorries, 3 tractor drivers and more than 30 people are working on the beaches. Galindo also mentioned the staff who will join these tasks from the Town Hall’s job pool next Monday, between 15 and 20 people.

As you can see, it is a full deployment of resources to try to present the best image of our beaches after the storm that has battered the whole coast of Málaga and Cádiz.
