The Sports and Parks and Gardens departments, headed by Manolo Gil and Francisco Becerra, have joined forces to offer residents new leisure spaces and new opportunities for outdoor sport.
In this case, with a joint budget allocation from both departments, a calisthenics park, or bar park, has been built next to the Ciudad de la petanca in the Maicandil area.
The new calisthenics park consists of a wide range of equipment for building users’ strength and fitness. It has a rubber surface covered with artificial grass, which will blend the new facilities into their surroundings.
Work is also under way on the green corridor linking the Ciudad de la petanca with the new bar park, where new irrigation has been installed and grass has been planted.
The councillors responsible for the project were accompanied by councillors Diego José Jiménez and Daniel Muñoz, who inspected the excellent result.
