The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, has returned to in-person municipal activity, having chaired the extraordinary council meetings held last Thursday.

«I am very proud to be mayor, and receiving so much support makes me come back even stronger to look after the interests of residents and to complete some very interesting projects for the municipality»

The mayor has wished to address the residents of our town publicly to thank them for the countless expressions of warmth and affection during these days, in which he has had to remain on sick leave.

Although contact with the Governing Team has been constant, first thing in the morning he resumed his schedule to complete key projects such as the redevelopment of the seafront promenade, the path that will connect the districts of Manilva and Sabinillas, the regeneration of the beaches of Castillo and the current cleaning service, which will be officially presented in the coming days.

In addition, the local mayor has not stopped worrying about the health of the population, and there have been frequent conversations with the Health District and the doctors responsible for vaccination in our town.

The local calendar also includes the fairs, patron saint festivities and leisure activities, as part of the return to normality and a cautious and responsible easing of restrictions.

In short: «We are very keen and enthusiastic to keep improving the lives of our residents, to recover the economic potential of our municipality, to improve infrastructure and to see tourism resume with every guarantee and possibility», he concluded.
