The territorial delegate for Education and Sport, Mercedes García Paine, has announced that Manilva will have a new secondary school.

This news follows serious, rigorous work by the governing team, which has succeeded in conveying the area’s educational needs to the Junta de Andalucía.

Given the excessively high number of pupils at the school in question, municipal officials proposed building a new school to relieve pressure on I.E. Las Viñas.

The good understanding between administrations has made it possible for this new construction to become a reality.

The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the Education councillor, Daniel Muñoz, and the councillors for Infrastructure and Public Works, Diego José Jiménez, and for Urban Planning, Marcos Ruiz, expressed great satisfaction with the work carried out and, above all, that it has had such a productive outcome for our municipality.

It should be remembered that technicians from the aforementioned supra-municipal body visited Manilva to assess the possibilities of the land offered by the Town Hall.

Following this excellent news, the main objective will be to speed up the administrative process so that the school becomes a reality as soon as possible.
