The work carried out at the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, FITUR, is bearing fruit for our town.
According to the Tourism councillor, Eva Galindo, a major tour operator visited the Manilva stand to find out about what our municipality has to offer and, after receiving all kinds of information, its response was immediate: Manilva will form part of an important gastronomic project centred on wine.
As a result, we will feature in the first Andalusian tour operator specialising in gastronomy, which has launched a cruise with Costa Cruceros – Viajar con Mucho Gusto offering five types of experience, ranging from local routes to major international trips.
The project seeks to change the approach to travel, getting to know cities and regions through their restaurants, wineries and small local producers, with a distinguishing value of always backing the traditional and local products of each area.
On board the Costa Pacífica, over four nights, passengers will discover the destinations of Málaga, which includes Manilva, Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona, with exclusive excursions.
Aimed at an audience seeking gastronomic excellence, the local trips planned for 2022 include: an Andalusian gastronomic tour of Seville, Jabugo, Jerez, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Montilla (Córdoba) and Axarquía-Ronda (Málaga), as well as getaways to Manilva.
Without a doubt, as the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, stated, «a spectacular promotional effort that results in projects of this kind, which bring tourists from all over the world to our land and bring prestige and quality», he noted.
For her part, the councillor was pleased to be able to close deals of this scale: «we have more than fulfilled the tourism work planned for Fitur and the results will now start to arrive, such as participation in this type of programme», she concluded.
