Local Police vehicle fleet renewed

-

Manilva Town Hall has acquired three new vehicles for the Local Police, «so that they have the best tools to carry out their important work in the municipality», as mayor Mario Jiménez explained.

On this occasion, the vehicles are hybrid all-terrain SUVs with the necessary equipment, such as defibrillators, a touchscreen with access to the cameras installed in the municipality for traffic control, applications for checking data held by the Directorate-General for Traffic (Dirección General de Tráfico), and access to the RAIA (Andalusian Animal Identification Register). They will also be adapted to transport people who have been detained.

The first deputy mayor, Diego José Jiménez, also attended the event. He stressed that, in addition to the importance of having suitable vehicles for the police, the move is contributing to protecting the environment by using less polluting cars.

It should be remembered that the Town Hall has a «renting» lease agreement, so it pays temporarily for the use and service of these vehicles, with the possibility of renewing them every few years.
