This morning the La Noria park in Sabinillas was inaugurated following its recent refurbishment, as announced by the parks and gardens councillor, Francisco Becerra.
Alongside the councillor, the mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, the Infrastructure and Works councillor, Diego José Jiménez, and the head of the department, Mari Ángeles Ramos, were also in attendance.
The work carried out includes the external perimeter fencing of the site, built with these materials to prevent wear and tear caused by the park’s proximity to the sea.
A range of play equipment adapted for children of different abilities has also been installed. In addition, all the rubber flooring in the children’s play area has been replaced.
On the promenade, a chess board has been installed for local residents to enjoy and to promote culture through play.
The entire outdoor fitness equipment area has been repaired and repainted, in an area that is widely used by older people.
This park, like the others recently improved in the municipality, will soon receive its corresponding certification, which is currently being processed, as Becerra explained. His aim is to improve all of the municipality’s children’s play areas, as he has been doing since he took over the running of this department.
