The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, accompanied by councillors Marcos Ruiz and Eva Galindo, has met with representatives of the beach bar owners in our town, with the aim of finding solutions to the problems affecting the sector.

It should be remembered that the municipality has 17 beach bars along its coastline, which are run by local families and to which the mayor has offered his full support.

During the meeting, the problems these business owners have to deal with in order to carry out their work properly were discussed.

Having heard about the difficulties facing the sector in the town, the mayor will pass them on to the Environment delegation in Málaga, part of the Junta de Andalucía, with a view to finding solutions.

Among the issues discussed was the formal handover of the beach bar works, a matter that greatly concerns some of these hospitality business owners, although the mayor told them that he raised this issue with the Environment delegate a few weeks ago and that it will be resolved shortly.

Jiménez said that the Town Hall will continue to work with this group and that they can continue to count on full municipal support, in order to regularise any situations that arise and resolve any problems they may have, so that these businesses can continue to operate.

The good relationship between the Town Hall and these business owners is therefore evident, with the aim of protecting this asset for the municipality.
