The acting councillors for Infrastructure and Works, and for Parks and Gardens at Manilva Town Hall, Diego José Jiménez and Francisco Becerra, have visited the Pablo Picasso school in Manilva to see how work is progressing on the installation of artificial turf in the children’s play area of the school. As Jiménez explained, the same work has also been carried out at the municipality’s other two schools, San Luis and Maicandil.
The councillor said he was very pleased with the public investment in education during the term of office, not only in structures and construction but also in recreation and safety. That investment now ends with these final works, which are being carried out in coordination with the parks and gardens department.
For his part, Becerra, acting head of the parks and gardens department, said that work has been carried out to improve all 28 parks in the municipality. He added that his department has also carried out work in the play areas of the nurseries, and that in these last days of the term of office artificial turf is being laid over the rubber safety surfacing so that the little ones can play safely.
