Mario Jiménez, mayor of Manilva, and Eva Galindo, Beaches councillor, accompanied by the municipal architect, Gaspar Román, have held an important meeting with José Antonio Viquez Ruiz, Delegate for Sustainable Development of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga, and the Head of Environmental Protection Services, José Carlos Norman.

The meeting covered several matters of interest to the business owners who run the beach bars in our town, and which will bring a notable improvement to their current situation.

Firstly, the possible grants for this sector of the local hospitality industry were discussed, in connection with the storm that has battered the coast and caused damage to several establishments, as well as the state of the beach in general.

In addition, the handover of completed works, the transfer of licence holders and the extension of the administrative concession, three key points, were also put on the table so that the supra-municipal body can lay the groundwork to resolve them.

The good relations between Manilva Town Hall and the other administrations mean there is a willingness to meet the demands of these families and resolve the issues.
The Government Team will continue to press on this matter, and will also inform the business owners directly.
