The PSOE of Manilva has announced an open, participatory event focused on the present and future of public education. The event aims to involve residents, professionals and the education community in a debate on one of the fundamental pillars of society, which is very much a topical issue in our municipality today.
The meeting will take place this Tuesday, 21 April, at 19:30, at Villa Matilde, in Sabinillas. According to the Socialist branch via its social media, the aim is to create a space for dialogue where attendees can express their opinions, raise questions and share experiences related to education, both locally and across Andalusia.
The event will feature prominent figures from the political and educational spheres. They include the general secretary of the PSOE of Málaga, Josele Aguilar; the representative of the AMPA (parents’ association) of the Instituto de Manilva, Concepción Benítez Zotano; Early Years teacher Sara de Molina Romero; the secretary for Education of the PSOE of Andalusia, Patricia Alba; and Evaristo Luján León, a member of the School Council of the Instituto de Manilva. Marta Benítez Oliva, Manilva’s candidate in the Andalusian elections, will also take part.
The event will be moderated by Francisco José Becerra Rojas, general secretary of the PSOE of Manilva, who will guide a debate intended to be approachable and constructive.
The organisers stress that the event is open, inviting all residents to be part of this forum for reflection. In addition, a drinks and nibbles reception will be offered after the meeting, creating a relaxed atmosphere in which to continue sharing ideas and proposals.
With initiatives of this kind, the PSOE of Manilva aims to strengthen public participation and put on the table the challenges and opportunities facing public education in the municipality and in Andalusia.
