As announced in previous days, the Government Team brought to today’s council meeting the request to join the fund for the cancellation of debts with the State Tax Agency and with the General Treasury of Social Security, along with the approval of the adjustment plan.
Voted in favour unanimously, the municipal Corporation understood that this step is essential in order to have more comfortable financing of the debt and to ease the monthly burden.
After being approved at the council meeting, the Ministry of Finance will rule on this request. A positive aspect is that the Town Hall has budgetary stability, the average payment period to suppliers is positive, and the adjustment plan would not mean raising taxes or anything that would undermine the local economy.
In addition to the contributions of all the spokespersons, the mayor, Mario Jiménez, wished to thank «the broad-mindedness of the municipal Corporation, with the sole shared aim of looking after the interests of our residents».
