Festivals councillor Daniel Muñoz explains the rules for entering the Christmas decorations competition using recyclable materials:
– Open to people on the municipal register (padrón) and resident in our municipality.
– Registration: until 12 December. Decorations can be handed in at the Festivals department, located in Manilva Town Hall, from 9:00 to 14:00. Entrants must attach an envelope containing a pseudonym and the title of the piece, inside which they must include their personal details.
– The materials must be recyclable, as the competition also has an environmental purpose and aims to raise awareness of recycling.
– There will be three prizes consisting of hampers of Christmas products.
– The jury will be made up of local artists, representatives of associations and staff from the Festivals department. Originality, the motifs used, the materials used, etc. will be taken into account.
– Each person may enter one or more competitions if they wish.
– The Christmas decorations received will be put on public display.
– The winners will be announced and the prizes presented between 21 and 23 December.

COMPETITION FOR FAÇADES WITH CHRISTMAS THEMES
The Festivals department, headed by Daniel Muñoz, has organised several competitions for the Christmas season.
Here we give details of the competition for façades, balconies or entrances.
Competition rules:
– Open to people on the municipal register (padrón) and resident in our municipality.
– Registration: from Monday 7 November until 12 December, entries can be made at the Festivals department, located in Manilva Town Hall, or by email at fiestas@ayto-manilva.com, stating the address of the home entering the competition.
– There will be three prizes consisting of hampers of Christmas products.
– The jury will be made up of local artists, representatives of associations and staff from the Festivals department, who will visit the homes during the week of 12 to 16 December to judge them. Originality, the motifs used, lighting, the materials used, etc. will be taken into account.
– The winners will be announced and the prizes presented between 21 and 23 December.
