Manilva Town Hall, through the Beaches department, made the necessary arrangements yesterday so that work to remove reeds from Manilva’s coastline could begin first thing this morning.
A local company with the capacity to take on this work was contracted, as heavy machinery is required. The crews are now tidying up the beaches.
The councillor responsible for the area, Eva Galindo, visited playa de la Noria to check on the work in person. Although it is laborious, it is essential to return the sand to the best possible condition.
Furthermore, as already reported, a detailed report on the damage caused by the storm will be sent to the Demarcación de Costas (Coastal Authority) so that it can be repaired.
It should be remembered that Manilva Town Hall assigns a cleaning team all year round so that the beaches can be enjoyed.
