As planned, following the rainstorm that has battered our town, the Beaches department has carried out clean-up work to leave the surface of the sand in perfect condition.
The councillor responsible for the area, Eva Galindo, visited the site to check on the pace of the workers’ progress and to inspect the state of the beaches once again.
The main items collected were reeds from the streams and from the Manilva river, as well as material washed up by the sea itself and other waste dumped in prohibited places.
According to the councillor: «we work all year round to keep our beaches in the best possible condition, but inevitably we also have to contend with bad weather, which forces us to start all over again,» she said.
