Over 400 riders took part this Sunday as the BTT Manilva mountain bike race was held once again, reaching its seventh edition this year.

Organised by the Club Ciclista de Manilva and the Sports department, headed by councillor Manolo Gil, this successful event also had the collaboration of other organisations such as Civil Protection, Local Police, the municipal Emergency service, Socosol, the Motoclub Manilva and the hiking group Los Kruos de Manilva, as well as BRK 23 and Harman Bikes.
The mayor of Manilva, Mario Mario Jiménez, and the councillors Diego José Jiménez, Laura López and Francisco Becerra were also present.

As for the results, the winner of the race in the men’s category was Fernando González Godino. Alejandro Barba finished second, and Raúl Mena third.

In the overall women’s category, the winner was Beatriz Gallego, followed by Anastasia Reguera and María Pérez.

Among the local riders, the fastest was Juan Antonio Gago, followed by Jose Antonio Leiva and Jose Guijarro. The best local female rider was Diana da Costa. Also worth highlighting are Eulogio García in the master 60 category and the CCManilva junior rider Alfonso Ortega, who both finished first in their categories.

Despite the demanding route, there were no serious incidents during the 50 kilometres of the race, which proved to be a great success in terms of organisation.
