The mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, in constant contact with the provincial delegate for Education and Sport, Mercedes García Paine, has announced that the next council meeting will address a matter of great importance for our municipality: the future new secondary school.

Specifically, the meeting will deal with the transfer of the land chosen by the Junta de Andalucía, after the Town Hall offered several options in other parts of the municipality. The site selected by the technical staff of that regional body, who considered it the most suitable, is the one adjacent to Las Viñas secondary school.

Once the transfer is approved at the council meeting, the Provincial Delegation will launch the project.

According to Manilva’s mayor: «although we know that administrative processes are often tedious, the Town Hall is speeding up the part that falls to us so that the new school becomes a reality as soon as possible», he said.

In addition, as usual, the Town Hall continues to improve school buildings, both primary schools and nursery schools, so that the education community has the best facilities and the maximum municipal support.
