The head of the Málaga Command, Colonel Antonio Rodríguez Medel, has visited Manilva to meet with the mayor, Mario Jiménez, the First Deputy Mayor, Diego José Jiménez, and the Chief of the Local Police, Juan Montero.
The main topic of the meeting, which the governing team has been discussing at the highest levels on security matters, is upgrading the Guardia Civil barracks in Sabinillas to a Main Post.
This would mean more officers for our municipality and would allow the barracks to become a point of reference for administration and paperwork, providing a better service to residents.
The meeting, held in an excellent atmosphere, was very productive, and the municipal representatives are optimistic about achieving a request they have made on numerous occasions.
In addition, a very important meeting has been secured with the Director General of the Guardia Civil, María Gámez, at the end of March to address this key issue for our town as well.
